On December 30 & 31, 2025, the BBA Department conducted a two-day "Marketing Mela 2025" at A.K.D. Dharma Raja Women's College, creating an exceptional platform for entrepreneurial learning and practical business experience.
The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by College Principal Dr. M. Lakshmi, College Advisor Mr. G. Sankaranarayanan, and Mr. Ganesh Ram, marking the beginning of this innovative educational initiative.
Students set up and sold products in more than 20 stalls, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills through diverse offerings including food, clothing, mehandi, and games. Each stall represented a mini-business venture, allowing students to experience real-world marketing challenges and customer interactions.
This comprehensive event was organized with the primary objective of encouraging students to become entrepreneurs in the future, providing them with hands-on experience in business planning, product development, marketing strategies, and customer service.

During the visit, students were given an overview of the company's operations, production processes, and quality management practices. Company officials explained various production stages and highlighted the importance of technology and innovation in the food industry.

On 09.09.2025, we conducted a Women's Awareness Programme at our college in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Virudhunagar.
Our Chief Guest, Dr. Sukhaputra, District Collector, addressed the gathering on the Pudhumai Pen Thittam. This was followed by Mrs. Thilakam's speech on the Tamil Pudhalvan Thittam.
Mrs. Jansi Surjit elaborated on the laws for the prevention and protection of women and children, while Selvi S. Tharani also shared her insights on women's protection laws.
Finally, Mrs. Reyjal Arumai emphasized the importance of the 181 Women Helpline.
The programme created awareness, empowerment, and a sense of responsibility towards safeguarding women and children in society.
An awareness programme for women was organized at A.K.D. Dharma Raja Women's College, Rajapalayam, jointly by the Virudhunagar District Women's Development Centre and the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights.
The District Collector of Virudhunagar, Ms. Sukaputra, attended as the chief guest and, in her special address, stated that a large number of girl students have benefited from the Pudhumai Penn scheme. She also announced that this awareness camp will be conducted across the district for ten days.
District Social Welfare Officer, Ms. Thilagam, explained that the Pudhumai Penn scheme is provided by the Tamil Nadu Government to support girl students studying in government and government-aided schools to pursue higher education. She also added that the Thavappudhalvan Scheme is being implemented for students.
Government Advocate of Srivilliputhur Additional Mahila Court, Ms. Jansi Surjith, emphasized that girl students should be able to live safely in society and have the freedom to pursue education, employment, and travel in public places.
District Programme Coordinator, Ms. Dharani, detailed various assistance schemes, while District Social Welfare Office Administrator, Mr. Rochar Arumai, highlighted the Women's Helpline 181 and Child Helpline 1098 for protection and support.
The event was presided over by Mrs. Ramani Dharma Krishnaraja and Mrs. Geetha, with Principal Dr. Lakshmi delivering the welcome address.
